Random Catch-Ups
I know I haven't posted in a while, but I haven't felt like there's been much to talk about. Let's face it, I don't have the world's most exciting life. How many different ways can you talk about dealing with a "determined" 3 year old. I use the word "determined", not because I believe this to be the best way to describe her, but because it is always how my mother-in-law describes the way my husband was as a child. I prefer "stubborn" - and that's being nice. Anyways, life around here hasn't been all that thrilling, but I guess I can drone on about some of the things that have been going on here at Casa de Kooistra.
Last weekend, Jer's parents came down for Easter. We spent most of the weekend just relaxing and visiting. Oh, and of course watching them spoil Elise rotten. She had a blast with them, of course, realizing very quickly that they were there solely for her entertainment and happiness. We enjoyed a great dinner out at Pig-N-Whistle and managed to almost completely clog all of our arteries in the process. But, you can beat those fried dill pickles! Church on Sunday, and then back home to finish preparing the Easter feast we enjoyed as a family along with friends Joy, James, Heather, and Roy. I attempted a new recipe for the dinner, Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts, but Jer wanted to boycott since we weren't having a pot roast like usual on Easter. I think he finally got over it, but it took him a while. Overall, it was a great weekend and Elise had a blast. I was going to post some pictures, but after looking at them, there aren't any worth posting.
Let's see...what else? Well, um, that's it. We're boring. Hopefully, something exciting will happen around here soon. Elise and I are heading down to Florida in about a week, so that should provide some blogging inspiration when we get home. In the meantime, I'll post some pictures soon.
