A Fun Weekend

Over Easter weekend, Jeremy's parents and sister, Megan, came for a visit. They have been coming down every Easter weekend for the past 3 years, so I guess you could say that it is becoming a tradition. The weekend consisted mostly of walks to the park and paying attention to Elise with some Memphis sightseeing and an intense game of Scrabble thrown in the middle. Most of us went to church (we won't name those who didn't) on Sunday and then we cooked a wonderful meal which we enjoyed as a family and with our friends James and Joy. Of course the weekend wouldn't have been complete without a huge Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa that included a big pink ball and a rubber duck about the same size as Elise. Overall, it was a wonderful way to celebrate Easter. We all had a good time and are looking forward to next year!

Kim - I'm so glad you're doing this blog. I'm so happy and excited to see pictures of Elise and be able to see her grow up. She looks so big and is doing such big girl stuff - sliding down the slide on her own?!!! Playing with the big pink ball. She's not a baby anymore. I'm actually crying because I miss you guys so much and I want so badly to be there with you to see her grow up. I miss you - please come home:)

Did she really slide down the slide on her own? or was that staged?

nope, it wasn't staged. she slid down all by herself. she wasn't exactly in an upright position by the time she got to the bottom, but she went down on her own!

She looks so cute on the slide. And color coordinated, just like with the ball. I love it!
Ooh and who's that hot girl by the Beale street sign?
:)
