Where's Your Nose?
Here is a quick update on Elise's latest achievement. She is beginning to point to different body parts when asked. Mommy's little genius! She began doing this a few months ago and started with just a few - belly, belly button, and socks (ok, that's not a body part, but give her a break, she's only 1). Over the past few months, she has progressed to pointing to her ears, hair, mouth, sometimes eyes, hands, feet, and sticking her finger up my nose when asked to point to hers (hey, they can't all be gifted). It seems like only yesterday that we were bringing home our little four pound bundle and now she is following directions. How time flies! Now, if we can just get her to walk...

tell her to wash the floor... see if she responds!
Big girl, Elise! You are a Smarty Pants:)
Okay now its time to start teaching her more difficult parts of the body so she can impress people. Not that noses and ears and eyes aren't impressive, but when she starts pointing to her eyeBROWS, elbows and ankles people will really think she's brilliant:) By the way, Ryann still has a hard time deciding that her eyes are on her face and not in her ears.
Oh - you have to teach her identify her fingers. Whatever she ends up doing will be adorable. Nora used to wave her fingers for me, Ryann strokes each one of them. I'm sure Elise will find some incredibly cute way to show you her fingers.
And now your know-it-all friend is off to bed... and then to FL. Will miss you:)
And make sure you teach her "chin" and "ankle" because Caroline did not know those for her kindergarten screening. I am a bad mommy!
make she that she knows that she can pick her nose, she can pick her friends, but she cannot pick her friends nose
